DCS

DCS files are typically used to place raster data on spot color plates during output. Sunset Printing does not accept DCS files. Your options for working around this will vary depending on your specific situation. You may build your spot plates by using some variation of the Duotone color mode and saving as an EPS file. If you are printing with only spot colors, another option is to copy the spot separations to the process plates (ie: magenta, cyan, yellow) of a CMYK raster file and then we can combine these seps with the spot plates on output. You can't use this technique if you are printing with any of the process inks already.

We would prefer that you allow us to help you decide which approach to take if you are planning on using any of these advanced techniques. Please call our pre-press department at 503-231-8328 and speak to a technician before setting up your files.
